So I made it through the entire first day without killing someone which is a major accomplishment. Trust me. I had a non fat latte, yogurt, lentils for lunch, string cheese and turkey pepperoni as a snack, no sugar added hot cocoa, a cup of soup and a 180 calorie grilled chicken and spinach lean cuisine for dinner. I also drank about 80 ounces of water. I had to pee approximately every 30 minutes. BAH!
I also got a headache later on in the evening and am growing concerned. I think I am going to start taking vitamins to ensure that I am getting the nutrients I need to maintain this craziness. I got a solid 10 hours of sleep last night and felt like complete ass this morning. I know the first few days are supposed to be rough but sheesh, this better improve soon or I will be pillaging the pasta bar at Whole Foods like no one's business. Just FYI.

I am not working out yet. I just don't feel the energy. I am sure this will change but in the interim, has anyone found a way to tell your Fit (in the nicest way possible of course) to kindly shut the f*** up or she will soon find herself at the pawnshop, sold off for her parts? Thanks.

NO! SLEEP! 'TILL BROOKLYN!!!!! (title of the only Beastie Boys song I find tolerable other than "Fight for Your Right")
Translation: No rest until the goal is achieved. I often use this powerful phrase as my battle cry, Maryleen, and I bestow its strength upon you.
You were a dieting MACHINE yesterday. You must have used amazing discipline yesterday. We are in a feedback loop of inspiration now, because your menu yesterday was ruthless. You must have been starving. No wonder you were in pain.
OMG, I am freaking out with excitement over how good you were. It is taking willpower for me to not stand up at my desk and shake myself and make indecipherable noises. I am actually not exagerating. I am moving my shoulders back and forth a little in my chair. People are going to think I am really weird again. AHHHHHHHH SO EXCITED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
P.S. Yeah, take some vitamins. Headaches are a little much.
The evenings are when I am in the most pain. Sometimes, after work, I can't even talk to Charles. All I can do is sit there and look irritated.
On the other hand, I am wanting to cause physical harm to others a lot less this week (days 6 and 7) than last week. Ride it out. Take it out on those close to you, like Chris, Liz and I. We will understand.
This is going to get easier. It will. Try to stick it out for a little while longer...if impossible, maybe try something a little bulkier for breakfast. Like a bran muffin, or yogurt and granola. I'm inclined to think that carbs are okay as long as they are consumed before noon (and clearly not in vacumous excess, just fyi). Sugar Free Jello needs to be implemented to prevent you from murdering your boyfriend late at night when the murmur of your growling stomach becomes deafening.
Stick with it! The first few days are ALWAYS hell, but if you stick with it, you will become zen by Day 5...and your stomach will shrink so you'll be less hungry! Win win all around.
